With asthma treatment is it better to be unpredictable?
Have you ever wondered if your asthma treatment routine was getting a little stale and if that was leading to it being less effective? Since your body gets used to certain exercise routines over time and they become less effective, it makes sense that over time your body might build up a resistance to an asthma treatment as well. Moreover, over time, if there’s something in a treatment that you’re sensitive to, prolonged exposure can be more irritating for your body.
That’s why it might be worthwhile to talk to your doctor about adding some unpredictability to your asthma treatment routine. While you may not want to change your prescription, you could change other things. Ask your doctor, for instance, if the medication you’re taking is known to deplete any particular vitamins and ask if you could try supplementing them.
Ask your doctor about trying out new exercise routines too. Yoga for asthma might be something to try. Or your doctor might have something else to suggest.
In what ways have you added unpredictability to your allergy asthma treatment approach? What else might you try?

The Buteyko Breathing method is one alternative asthma treatment that doesn’t get stale and that has been proven in six independent clinical trials (published in major medical journals) to work. Average trial results were a 90% reduction in reliever medication and a 50% reduction insteroid inhaler use within 6 months. Praised by the Mayo Clinic and the British Thoracic Society.
