Allergic breakfast drinks

When you have allergies, it can be hard to figure out what to eat for breakfast. I’ve found that what I have in the morning has a big impact on how I feel all day–when I eat the wrong thing, I wheeze; when I eat the right thing, my allergic asthma symptoms are greatly reduced.

That means I tend to switch between two specific allergic breakfast options–either a green smoothie drink or an apple with sugar-free peanut butter.

For the allergic breakfast drinks, I like to use a frozen banana, half a pear, 3-4 cups of baby spinach, and some fresh basil from the garden. I blend it all together with about a third of a cup water. It sounds kind of weird, I know, but it actually tastes delicious–it’s very sweet, and it keeps me full until lunch while packing a nutritious punch.

What’s your favorite allergic breakfast drink?

Hiya! I'm Jess. I was diagnosed with allergy-induced asthma about two years ago.

Since then, I've found that my asthma symptoms are a great barometer of just how well I'm taking care of myself. On days when I practice self care, I breathe easier than on days when I don't.

Now that I've gotten a handle on my own symptoms I wanted to create a place where I could share what's worked for me and hear from *you* on what helps to treat your allergic asthma symptoms. Welcome to my site. I'm looking forward to getting to know you.
