Two herbs for asthma
Have you ever considered herbal asthma treatments? There are many herbs that are thought to be helpful with treating asthma, and today we’ll talk about two savory asthma herbal treatments. The nice thing about both of these is that while they’re both teas, neither is sweet, so they’re especially nice late in the day, after dinner.
The first is oregano. It can be dried or fresh (it’s better for this if it’s fresh). Use one to two teaspoons in a cup of water. Boil the water, add the oregano to your cup and pour the water over the herb. Allow to sit for five to ten minutes (or until cool enough to drink).
Breathe in the herbal asthma treatment tea while you drink it–I find that just breathing in the tea steam often soothes my lungs a lot. In fact, a hot, steaming mug of oregano tea is actually a really soothing way to wind down the day (honest, it’s not as bad as it sounds).
The second herb is thyme–use it the same way (and again, it’s better if its fresh, but dried is just fine).
Personally, I’ve found the oregano “tea” to make a huge difference, and the thyme “tea” to not have much effect at all. But you may be the opposite, so try them both, especially if you already have both herbs on hand. And keep checking back for more natural asthma remedies–they’re my favorite!
Have you ever tried any natural treatments? Which ones did you find worked best for you?
