Swine Flu and Asthma

If you’re worried about swine flu (H1N1), and you have allergic asthma, it’s important that you give your doctor a call. One of the reasons H1N1 is so dangerous is that it can move quite quickly to the lungs, and anyone who has breathing difficulties may be at higher risk.

As someone with allergic asthma, you always have good reason to take good care of your body, but with swine flu going around, it’s extra important. So, make sure you brush up on your self-care routine, get plenty of sleep, and talk with your doctor about ways to protect your health.

If you should happen to get sick, make sure to stay in close communication with your doctor–that’s the wisest thing you can do to stay well whether or not you’re mixing swine flu and asthma.

Hiya! I'm Jess. I was diagnosed with allergy-induced asthma about two years ago.

Since then, I've found that my asthma symptoms are a great barometer of just how well I'm taking care of myself. On days when I practice self care, I breathe easier than on days when I don't.

Now that I've gotten a handle on my own symptoms I wanted to create a place where I could share what's worked for me and hear from *you* on what helps to treat your allergic asthma symptoms. Welcome to my site. I'm looking forward to getting to know you.
